Bridge Corrosion

Prediction of Bridge Performance Degradation

This project examines corrosion performance of bridge steel to enable better predictions of material loss rates for active corrosion on bridges. Experiments include accelerated corrosion testing of A36 carbon steel and high strength alloy A588 steel using NaCl and simulated seawater solutions.
